Is Blog Commenting A Waste Of Time?

Are you wasting your Time Blog Commenting?

The answer is:                      Yes   And    No.

How did I come to this conclusion?   Here's where it all started.  Check out this linked article > "Why comment on other Blogs"?
For quite some time,    I have been doing a large amount of experimenting on some of my Blogs,  just to see how well commenting on other Blogs works. The results.

Yes  Blog Commenting  is a waste of time) If  you're only after return comments on your own Blog.  You can have a great time interacting with many fantastic individuals,  discussing many interesting topics.

Though, as far as people from those other blogs,  heading off over to your site to make a few comments?

You will get the occasional blog commenter wishing to hit on your name next to your comment,  just to go and check out your website.

You will be very lucky to receive any visits at all(I mean including a comment) from the big website owners where you leave your Blog comments.

I tested this out a while back.  I went out and made tons of high quality comments on a number of websites,  from averages sites,  and also many of the top websites.

I actually became a regular commenter on some of these sites(leaving  comments every day). Yet, amazingly,  I never received a single return comment from the authors of those websites.

These same big name sites had no trouble filling my Email box with spam offers,  from both their affiliates and also promoting other peoples products who they are obviously working with.

My Blog Comments were high Quality

Many of my Blog comments were quite long and thought out(Not spam)  yet it did not make any difference.

Some of my comments which I took quite some time to write out,  were deleted(That happened on a site which is very respected and which openly encourages you to leave comments)  I was even going to other sites of either the guest post author,  or many of the other commenters.

And from all that work, the number of return Blog comments I received from these Authors of the top websites to my site?  A Big Fat Zero!

The funny part was,   I managed to get comments on those same Blogs of mine,  without lifting a finger(People just browsing the internet..so it does really put Blog commenting under the spotlight as far as a way of getting visits to your website.
On the other side of the coin!

No  Blog Commenting  is a not a waste of timeif  you want to build up plenty of links to your site.

You can build up links to your website really fast by commenting on plenty of websites.
I built up 500 links in no time at all just by leaving Comments on other websites.

You can get some creditable links which should help your sites ranking. You can also find some great sites to visit that have lots of insightful information.

My Conclusion?

If you wish to build plenty of links,  then comment on other Blogs as often as possible.
(Just don't expect many return comments) The fact is:
"There are other ways to get back links to your site."!

Have a look at this linked article showing another way of getting links to your site
Link here>Using Social Bookmarking Tools an easy way to build back-links to your site.

I think a great idea would be to combine blog commenting(To get backlinks) with that method I talked about in the linked article above. That should bring in some great results!

What are your experiences with Blog commenting?  Has it helped in some way to build up your website?

Google Blogger Terms Of Service (Tos) -- Information You Should Know

Blogger usage terms ---What risks are there?

I have heard quite a lot of mixed views regarding the Blogger Terms of Service(TOS).
There have been a number of cases whereby someone's blog has been suspended.
In many of these cases,  Google has acted appropriately,  as the blogs in question have clearly violated the Google (tos).

Though,  in other cases there does not seem to be a clear reason as to why Google has taken action.
Some Blog authors have clearly stated that as far as they can tell,  they were not in breach of Google usage terms.  Yet,  their blogs were suspended without any written explanation being sent to them.

It is regarding those areas of uncertainty that I thought it was important to show the Google Blogger (Tos) in highlighted form,   to make it a little easier to read through and gain a better understanding.

Also,  considering  a number of Bloggers have stated that this " Uncertainty regarding the Google Blogger (TOS) was their motivation for Jumping Ship to another Blogging Platform, due mainly to the perception that their content was extremely vulnerable.

This adds to the importance of understanding the Blogger terms of service.

I have highlighted using different colors the sections that look quite important.

Ways to Increase Your Website Traffic

Website Traffic Tips
Whether we like to admit it or not,   the only way your Blog or Website can have any chance of success is through getting a large amount Website Traffic.

Getting  a large number of visitors coming to your website on a regular basis,  will give you the opportunity to achieve just about anything you wish with your Blog or Website.

If your site has been fully Monetized and you are offering a whole bunch of products,  E books,  Affiliates,  etc,  the sky really is the limit once you are doing well with your Website traffic.

Not to mention the paid services you can provide,  SEO services,  Web design,  or whatever services that apply to your niche(Topic).

How to Increase Your Website Traffic

(1). Write regular Posts

Okay,  so it is not what you were hoping for.  Though,  one of the best ways to drive consistent amounts of traffic to your site,  is through getting down to work and writing your Blog or website posts.

Though it has been said over and over again,  it is important to set up a Posting schedule.
This is not a rule written in concrete,  but just think about it for a moment!

Knowing how often you should write your Blog posts is an important decision for you to make.

There are people coming to your site,  they see your stuff and think " wow! that's a great post"! they then think to themselves " I think I will bookmark this site and come back and check out the next post"  So they are full of anticipation for your next post, they come back again and again,  but there are no new(fresh) posts to check out.

If you want to increase your website traffic give your readers something to look forward to.  Give them something to keep them coming back to your website.

Think about it!
At this point they(Your visitors) may have been close to subscribing and becoming a regular visitor to your site.  Now they are thinking  " Why would I subscribe if there are no nice new posts to check out"!  So they will probably go elsewhere.

Remember also that another important thing to do to make sure those posts of yours do really well,  is to
make sure you write relevant content.

What that means is that your website(blog) content is properly suited to your sites main topic(Subject).

(2).  Get Social to Build Your Site Traffic

Although setting up a Post writing schedule will help to drive more traffic to your site,  and increase the chances of your getting regular readers and possible Subscribers to your Website,  to get much more site traffic you will need to get out there and promote your new posts.

This part can become a little bit confusing at first, mainly because there are so many ways to promote your Website or Blog.

The best way is to try a number of methods.

(a). Guest Posting

If you are just starting out this may seem a little bit overwhelming.  Though, I think this is one of the best ways to get your BRAND(you and your blog or website) recognized and to get a dramatic increase in your Website traffic.  If you manage to score a few guest posts on top(Authority) sites and you have written a really high quality post,  you will gain an instant audience.

The flow on effect from Guest posting,  could be huge once your name get's out there on the web.

(b).  Invite Guest Posting on your own Site

This is something that is being done quite a lot now.  So many sites I visit,  even the less established ones,  are now inviting people to guest post on their sites.

Though at first I thought that maybe this was not a good Idea for newer sites,  I can now see how having people guest post on your site would bring a whole new dimension to your Blog or website.

(c). Joining the Social Sites

Without a doubt joining up to Twitter,  Facebook,  Stumble-upon or any of the other major sites,  will help to drive traffic to your site.

The downside is that even though you may get some good traffic  and the occasional flood of traffic(If your post goes viral) much of the traffic you get will not be very loyal visitors.

This type of traffic can often be people just having a quick look,  then that's it. They never return again.

You will start to hear a lot more about this problem from many Authority Blogs and websites. These are the same Authority blogs and Websites that were promoting  " How great social media is to drive traffic to your site"  who are now saying joining sites like Twitter, Stumble-upon,  etc,   can be a waste of time.

I have heard the Webmasters of some of these sites say  "  For the amount of traffic you get to your Website compared to how much work you put into it,  it is not a good way of getting traffic to your site"

Other social Bookmarking or website promotional and Advertising sites.

(1).  Technorati.com

(2). Blogcatolog.com

(3). Craigslist.com

There are literally hundreds more to choose from.

Note:  Some of these Blog and website promoting sites can be a little hard to join up.  Some have certain requirements which usually means your site has have decent quality content,  and often have decent PR also.

(3). To Increase Your Website Traffic Keep Doing what works

My final piece of advice is also the most important thing I can offer to you if you want to increase your site traffic, improve your site ranking and achieve greater success with your Blog or Website.

Keep working on your Blog or Website no matter how much you may at times become frustrated,  or feel it's not going as good as you had hoped.  If you wish to Improve Your Website's Google Search Engine Ranking
it is going to take a fair amount of time to effort to achieve.
and read about what can happen if we allow our frustrations with our site(And sometimes our laziness) to get the better of us.

Don't give up!   Usually that far greater success you are seeking with your Blog or website,  is only just around the next corner.

Feel free to leave your views on this post below in a comment.

How Reliable Are Your Blog Or Website Stats?

Are Your Website Stats and Analytics Tools Accurate?

Whilst doing a lot of testing for a recent post called "Stop Tracking Your Page Views "  I realized that my results between the different Analytics tools were not matching up.

A few weeks after writing that above post in the link " Stop tracking your page views" I noticed my stats were again NOT matching up on my Analytics tools.

I have fixed the Track my Page visits problem.  Note: The Link below has some information that provides a 100% method to Stop tracking your own page Views.

Though we still have to deal with the problem of our SEO,  Analytics and research tools not giving us the same data results.

I think we all have seen different numbers showing up between Google Anayltics,  Blogger, Webmaster Tools, Histats, AW Stats, Hit Counter or whichever tool you use to track your data.  But when I saw how different the results were between some of these Tools,  I thought to myself,  this is a serious issue that needs to be resolved.

Stop Tracking Your own Page Views in Google Analytics

I found a way to at least stop having Google Analytics record my own page visits. This was a major breakthrough,  that gave me a more accurate picture of my real statistics. > Stop Tracking Your own Page Views in Google Analytics

Remember!  Even after you have stopped Google Analytics recording your own page visits,  this does not mean that your Analytics data that is shown on all your SEO tools will match up.

You will have stopped tracking your own page visitis,  but Google Analytics, Blogger,  Webmaster Tools,  Histats,   and just about any other tool will always show different results.

One of the main reasons why your Website Statistics do not match on all of your Analytics and research tools is that Each Analytics Tool collects and records your Websites information differently.

So as great as it is to stop tracking own own page views(visits) to our Websites, we still are not getting accurate readings across the different Analytics Tools.
So it is better to try a number of tools then make a decision on which seems to be the most accurate.

Surely one of these tools is giving the correct data results.  But which one?

Why are Analytics Results So Different?
The differences I have seen are quite incredible. I  understand that Analytics,  Blogger,  Webmaster Tools and Histats all collect data differently,   but  the results you see across the board for all tools,  should only vary slightly.

Webmaster tools seems to pick up data that the others miss.  Analyitcs looks as though it hardly records any activity,  even though the other tools have picked up the missed data,

Website Statistic results just get More Confusing
Blogger records far more page views than Histats,  though less visitors than Histats.  Google Analytics is recording more Page-views than Histats though, less visitors.

Google Analytics is recording the page views with no actual(Visit) time on my site(Even if someone clicks on your site  for a second or two it would be recorded). So,  this creates very poor bounce rates. The Bounce rates for the other Anayltics tools are all different.

A great deal of Analytics information( stats)  that I am sure is very important for managing your blog or Website,  does not seem to be anywhere near accurate enough.

Accurate Website Analytics Stats the Goal.
I have known about some  variations,  which is understandable,  but I didn't know that the numbers were so different. I am going to be doing some testing on this issue,  to see if I can find a way to get more accurate Analytics readings.

Whichever one of these tools turns out be the most reliable, I will use as my main source for my Blogs Data. The others I will either have a quick look at them every now or then,  or remove them altogether.

Are you having any problems with your Blog or Website data not adding up properly?

Your Real Page Ranking in Google Search

Are Your Website Pages Really On Page One For Google?
A lot of people have said that they are page one(Or top of page one) for Google search terms.  Getting to page one is a big achievement. Which,  according to the experts(The SEO gurus) should ensure a huge flow of traffic to your site.

Yet,  many people have complained that although they are on the top of page one, they are not getting that huge traffic to their sites that the SEO gurus promised. Only a small number of visitors.

Check Your Website Pages Real Google Search Ranking.

First
Log out of your Google(G-mail) accounts(If you're Logged into your Google account when you check your Pages(Posts)search ranking this can cause a totally inaccurate search result.)

Second.
Clear(Delete) your Browser history(one day/ week) should be enough).  If you do not clear your Browser history you could be looking at your own previously stored search results(Not your Google search ranking).

Third.
Download Google Global.(This will show you your ranking from a number of locations around the globe not just from your local area).   Link Here> Google Global Firefox Add-on.
You can also find Global add- ons for other browsers like Internet Explorer,  Opera, etc.

Knowing how your Websites pages are ranking in a number of Counties around the World can be very helpful for targeting your audience in that region.  If you do some research,  and make a few Optimization changes to your website aimed towards these countries,  you may get a large increase in traffic from those countries.

You may find you have Blog or Website posts(Pages) that are ranked much higher in other countries.
I found out I had  a few posts ranked much higher in many other countries outside of America.
Note:  If you are using Firefox,  some of the recent Firefox updates can make the Google Global Firefox Add-on to not  compatible with the Firefox Browser.

If this is the case,  you will get a message when updating firefox that shows you which add- ons will not work if you install the update.
(You can still run the earlier version of Firefox if you wish. That way the Add-ons will still work)
Next is a really powerful way to get an accurate idea of  your real page Rankings in Google Search.
A Great way to Know your real Page Ranking in Google Search

Fourth.
Go to the following website to check your real Page ranking.   This amazing free tool is called  Scroogle Scraper and it is very accurate.  This tool removes anything that may be causing you to get a false reading when you are checking for your Google search Ranking. here's the link>  Scroogle Scraper.

Later you can compare the differences between your Global Results and Scroogle Scraper results(Whilst logged out of your Google account).  Then compare those to a Google search( when you are logged back into your Google Account).

Once you have done all these things,  you will then have a much clearer understanding of your real Website Pages Real Google Search Ranking.
Are you finding it hard to know what your real website page rankings are?

Feel free to let me know how you went and what your new results are,  after you tried the suggestions above.

Your comments are both welcome and appreciated.

Do Meta Tags Matter in Google Search?

Does Google reward using Meta Tags?

We have heard over and over again that adding Meta Tags is important to improve your website or Blogs chances of greater success when people are doing a Google search.

For Google, Meta tags serve to give some vital information about your website.  This Meta Tag information is supposed to help give a clear description of your posts,  when people are doing a Google search looking for certain information.

Then something happened that changed the way we look at  Meta tags,  as far as their SEO value in Google Search results is concerned.

Back in 2009 over at the Webmaster central Blog, Google's Matt Cutts said Meta Keyword tags are not used by Google for Ranking.

Okay!  So I guess that getting this from someone like Matt Cutts who is the go to man,  as far as Google is concerned should clear everything up,  right?  Basically,  Meta Keyword Tags are useless!  Yes?

The fact is,    I still am not convinced completely.  If Keyword Meta tags are totally useless for Google search results and do not matter anymore,  then why are many of the top Blogs and websites stuffing their sites pages with Meta Keywords Tags?

Top Websites still using Meta Keyword Tags.  Why?

I noticed this quite a lot lately.  Not just the really big sites,  many emerging sites are doing the same thing.

So why would these sites be doing something(Stuffing their sites with keyword meta tags) Didn't  Google  openly admit that Meta Keyword tags no longer matter and would be a total waste of time for website owners as far as Google search is concerned?

This made me really start to think about this.  This led me to the following conclusion.
Could these Website owners know Something About Meta Keyword Tags that we don't?

Could stuffing your Website or Blog pages with Meta Keyword Tags help to improve your sites performance in Google search?
That makes a lot of sense!  The top blogs and Websites would not waste their time stuffing their posts with Meta Keyword Tags,  if it was going to do nothing for them. As far as SEO and Google ranking is concerned.

Everything the top blogs and Websites do as far as on page off page optimization is concerned,  is always done for a reason(with a purpose in mind---to achieve a goal----to add improvement to their site )  And the Purpose is to get better Google search engine ranking and improved SEO value.

The Top Blogs and Websites did not get to their level of Success by Accident.  They have done a lot of hard work to get their.

Meta Description Tags still have Value for Google search

If you wish to add Meta Description Tags to your Blog or Website,  these tags still matter.

Here is a link to an article about how to use Meta tags-- written by Kate Morris at the Seomoz website
SEO Meta Tags

There is some really nice information in that article by Kate. She does a great job of describing how important each type of Meta tag really is.

According to Google

The theory is that if you DON'T add Meta Description tags for your posts,  Google will grab some details from your post and make a description for you(A snippet of page information).

The down side to this is that,   the Meta description(Information about your post) provided by Google may not be very helpful for people doing a Google Search.

So yes,  Meta Description Tags still Matter. You can add your own Meta Description Tag to give a  much clearer description of your Posts for those looking for specific information.

If this is true,  then adding Meta Description Tags definitely still has some importance as far as Google search is concerned.

So to conclude I think it would be helpful for your Blog or Website to add Meta Description Tags,  to improve your chances of more traffic coming through Google search results.

I am not too sure whether the Meta Keyword tags will make any difference.

Although,  I must admit that I am very curious as to why so many big Blogs and Websites stuff their posts with Meta Keyword Tags. They definitely Believe Meta Keyword Tags still Matter!
Yet, the principal(Rule) that is applied with your blog post content is totally the opposite!.  With Blog or website post content,  we are advised to only use a certain number of keywords(% of keywords taken from entire post word count).  You are strongly advised NOT to STUFF Your posts with keywords.

This leads to another question.  Are some of the Established,  Successful blogs and websites also Stuffing the post content with Keywords?

What are your thoughts on whether Meta Description and Meta Keyword Tags still matter for Goggle Search results?

Login To Your Google Apps Custom Domain CPanel

Google Apps Cpanel  Login Problems
It seems a number of people are struggling to Login to their Blogger.com(Google) Custom Domain's Administrator Control Panel( C Panel.).  There are many people out there saying they are Caught in a Loop  going from one log in box to another,  constantly  getting messages like " Your Username or Password are incorrect"

Once you have Logged  in to your Cpanel Admin account,  you can then set up your Google Apps MX,  CNAME  and SPF records(These are used for your Email service).

Note: This post was very long before(With images and instructions) but I cut most of the content out after realizing that the only way I could log into the Google Apps Cpanel was by doing the following:

Now It's time to Login to your Google Apps Cpanel

(a).   After trying to log in your end up with this Message: "The Username or Password you entered is incorrect"
You then go through a   " THOUSAND AND ONE "  Sign in  attempts using every Password and
Username Combination known to man!  Still no luck!

If you hit the "Can't access your account?"
You will end up going around in circles.
You will end up at the "Google Apps" Sign in
page. Then sent back to the same
"Can't Log into your account ?"   green box.
Stop now!    You cannot log in this way.

Why! Because you need to log in using
a different E-Mail address than the one
you used to register your domain with
(E-mail outside of your domain.).
Also,  if you have a Google(G-mail) account
log out first.
Now create your account using
the same username and password
you first used when trying to Login to
your CPanel.  Your username ends
with(Your domain name.com)
If you  are logged out of your G-mail account
you should now be able to create your
account for your C Panel..
If that does not work
Go to the Link below
The official Google Apps Help site.

(b).

 Please read >

Duplicate Content -- Has Google Penalized you for it?

Could Duplicate Content be Affecting your Page Rank?

We are constantly told Google will punish us severely for having multiply copies of the same content(Duplicate content) flooding the web.

In my case I found out after going to one of those sites that provide a free  SITE SUBMISSION to a number of search engines.  After entering my sites details,  I was then staring at a message saying I had a ton of duplicate urls(Content).

I am not sure how my Duplicate content problem happened.  Though,  I am pretty sure that it has cost me Page Rank,  and also affected my pages ranking in Google search results.

Here is a link to a fantastic article by Rand Fishkin,  over at  Seomoz>  Duplicate content
That is one of the clearest explanations of what Duplicate content is,   and how to avoid it.

 Google Guilty of Duplicate Content

Surely  for  us less than godlike ones,  we can accept a few mistakes here and there.

Though,  just to show how common duplicate content is: Even Google of all Companies,  does not quite practice what it preaches.  Over at Web pro World forum site,  an article by: Bill hartzer:.

He starts off with:

"I was looking around on Google.com and noticed over 26,000 (twenty six THOUSAND) pages of duplicate content on the Google.com domain."

"Here we are trying to get rid of low-quality content on our own sites and remove the duplicate content because of updates like the Google Panda update...and Google can't even follow their own advice. "

Here’s the Link to Bill Hartzer’s  Search Engine Marketing Blog where he goes into great detail over the whole affair.

Looking into what is actually defined as duplicate content would be wise at this point,  as this could vary depending on which source you get your information from.

My basic understanding was that,  if you had Duplicate content(Pages) like what happened to me previously,  this would be an accurate description.

I am guessing that my mess up occurred somewhere between writing,  editing,  saving as draft and republishing.

Somehow this created a number of copies of the same pages.

How are you to know if you have duplicate content?

Not every Blogger or webmaster could be aware that their Blog(Website)  is losing ranking due to duplicate content.

In my case in was purely by accident.

After using a number of sites that offered free SEO Tools, site  submissions,  checking for broken links,  meta tags,  link popularity,  etc I found that:

Most of the sites that I was using the free SEO tools on did not pick up the duplicate pages(urls) which is a real worry.
The worst part about this is,   you are trying you darn best to get your site(Your pages) ranked highly by creating quality content,  editing and polishing it up constantly(Hey! That’s what successful Bloggers do . Right)?

Only,  in the end if a mishap occurs,  this may result in our being punished by Google.

Feel free to share your thoughts below.

Choose the Best Blog Design For Your Blog

Picking  the Best possible Blog Design Makes Sense

Having a really nice Design for your Blog(site)  can really make your Blog stand out from the pack.
This doesn't mean the design has to be expensive,  or overloaded with widgets and flashy colors.

Though,  your Blog design should at least match up with what your Blog is all about,  and should make it easy for your guests(visitors) to navigate around.  If you look at many of the top Blogs(sites) they often have made a lot of effort to make their sites visually attractive,  and easy for you to browse around in.

The best blog design does not need to be too flashy.  As long as it does the job it is required to do,  that is all that really matters.

So Many Free Blog Template Designs To Choose From

That's the funny part about it.  There are just so many great free Template Designs today out on the web,  it can become hard to decide on the best Blog design for your blog.  I remember when I first discovered that you could get a huge range of  free WordPress Style themes for Blogger,  I was so overjoyed that I would spend hours trying to find " The Perfect Blog Template Design."

The downside to all those incredible free Blogger templates is,   you will sometimes end up with a template that you simply cannot get to work properly,  and will have to remove it.

So for Blogger users,  when you think you have found the best Blog design template for your blog,  make sure you test it out fully to see if it is working properly(No broken links,  redirect links,  HTML  code editing  problems, etc).

Many of the Best Blog Template Designs are Free

That is what blew me away when I came across many of these Blog(Website) Template Design sites.
I had heard of people paying quite large amounts of money just to get a particular Blog Design made.
While getting an original Blog design made up will do wonders for your site,  not everyone can afford to do this.

Here's a link to the Blogger Buster site >  100 of the best free Blogger Templates

Here's another great site called Premium Blogger Templates offering free templates> Premium Blogger Templates

When you go to these site you will be struggling to make a choice, as there are just so many great  designs.

Remember,  if you are not happy with the idea of using the free templates,  you can always invest a bit of money and have a website(Blog) template designed for you.

WordPress users have a number of sites offering some great FREE  template designs.

A site called Top Design mag  who have a great collection of free templates> 35 new And Fresh WordPress Themes

Get More Website Traffic -- Enjoy The Rewards

Get More Traffic watch your website grow

Getting traffic to your Blog(website) ranks no 1,   as the most important task you have set out for you.
No visitors,  no success.   It' s that simple.

Not only do you need just visitors,  you need a virtual flood of constant traffic.
It’s no good having “The Greatest Blog(Website) known to mankind”   if nobody even knows you exist.

Knowing ways to increase your website traffic,  and applying them in the right way will make a huge difference in your websites success.

Let’s just say it’s your blog or website that happens to be(The greatest in the history of Blogs and websites)

Unless you can get plenty of traffic coming to your website,  it will become the " The Greatest Website NEVER known".

Not just Traffic you need Targeted Traffic.

The fact is,  unless you can convert your traffic into Customers,  you will still lose out.

Here's a link to an article called " 5 Tips to convert web traffic into sales " written by Zac Heisley  on the Best Rank website.

The article has some very simply yet effective advice,  on how to turn your visitors into buyers.
You need plenty of Targeted Traffic to your site.
Yes it sucks!  Though,  that’s just how the game of blogging(Websites) goes.

If you have ads or are doing affiliates,  or whatever you may be selling(E-Books, etc) you will do far better through having a steady flow of visitors who are interested in what you have to offer..

If your site is heavily monetized and well set up,  it’s only logical that you will do far better getting more visitors to your site,  and even better still if those visitors are Targeted to your website.
More Website Traffic = more potential customers

Your conversion rates or let’s say sales per thousand visitors,  may seem low when you look at it from a percentage point of view.

Also,  if you can improve your Google search engine ranking by optimizing your website pages,  you will become far more successful.
You will be able to generate more targeted traffic to your website.
As your website ranking increases in the search engines,  far more opportunities will present themselves.

Eg:  you get Ten to fifty thousand(Often more) visitors per  5- 10 sales  over a one week period.
Isn’t that far better than hardly any visitors(No Traffic) to your site,  where you are then lucky to even get a single sale,  often over a much longer period of time.
Now that really sucks!  As your website ranking increases in the search engines,  far more opportunities will present themselves.
I know it sounds like a contradiction.  Many top websites and Blogs say you can get away with a smaller amount of traffic if it's quality(Targeted ) traffic.

Though, think how much better it would be to get a large amount of visitors to your Website,  and to have a fair amount of those visitors to be Targeted traffic(Potential customers) for your site.
Here is a Story about Website Traffic(Plenty vs Few)

In this little story,  the Shop Store Owners are actually Blog(Website)owners.

I thought it would be far more enjoyable to tell the story this way.

So,  let’s begin.

Imagine a shop store owner having 200 visitors in a day and making 10 sales.

Whereas,  a shop across the road selling the same items pulls in 1000 visitors in a day,  and makes 45- 50 sales.
I am sure the shop owner getting the 45-50 sales will put aside the inconvenience of so many customers trampling through his store,  once he sees his profits at the end of the week. I am darn sure I know which shop keeper I would prefer to be.
The other shop owner will be scratching his head,  blaming it on “Pure Luck”  secretly wishing to himself how he’d like to emulate “Mr. Successful Shop Owner”  across the road.
Soon,  “Mr. Successful Shop Owner” will decide to retire while he is young and sell off his now very valuable(High Profit Generating) Business.
Off he goes to his Tropical Island retreat,  having sold his shop,  making a massive profit on the price he payed when he originally purchased it…..
While this is taking place our “Not so successful Shop” friend is now slaving away just to keep his business afloat,  pulling in massive weekly loses.
Or,  more than likely,  he has gone and sold his shop for at a huge lose on the price he payed for it.
He was sliding further and further down,  and decided to cut his loses whilst he still had a chance to do so.

So,  if you want your Blog(Website) to be like our “ Mr. Successful Shop” friends,  and you would love to go and join him on that Tropical Island paradise.

You had better firstly do whatever you can do to turn your Website into a traffic Magnet and get plenty of targeted traffic to your site.
Feel free to leave your thoughts on getting more traffic to your website in a comment below.

Keyword research and SEO(Search engine optimization)  are considered to be very important factors in getting your Blog or Website to a high level of Success.

Choosing keywords that will Rank you high in the Google Search Engine will give you greater money earning potential  for your Blog or Website. That surely is something worth the time and effort you invest in it. Yes?

There are a number of both free and paid programs that off an incredible range of Analytic and research tools,  that can make the task of Keyword research and SEO,  much easier.

There are many programs you can use for free with the option of upgrading to the paid version,  once you decide to do so.   The only down side is that the free version of the software often do not include a number of tools that are part of the paid software suite.

Goggle Adword Keyword Tool

To get started doing keyword research the free Google Ad-word Keyword tool is quite useful.

Note:  You will notice that you are quite limited with the amount of information you will have access to with the free Google Adword Keyword Tool.

To get far more information that will help you decide on Keywords that have the best money making potential,  you may need to consider going for the paid versions of the tools,  or signing up for Google Adwords.

Here's the link to the free
Adword Keyword tool. > Adword Keyword Tool

Note:  You will notice that you are quite limited with the amount of information you will have access to with the free Google Adword Keyword Tool.  Apart from the basic stuff like Global(Or Local) Monthly searches,  along with Exact or Broad search results.

To get the full use of the Keyword Tool so you can all the have access to things like,  you would need to sign up for Google Adwords.

The Google Adword Keyword tool is quite handy if you wish to do some quick Keyword research.
I do use the Google Keyword tool a fair bit,  then I go and use my other SEO and keyword tools to do much deeper keyword research.

Explanation of some common Terms used in Keyword Tools

SEOT (Seo Traffic) The amount of potential clicks for a number one spot for that keyword term.

AWC (Adword Competition) The number of advertisers worldwide bidding on this keyword.

AWV(Adword Volume) The total daily value($) a #1 ranked Google Adwords advertiser may expect to receive(And the cost) if advertising for a Keyword.

SEOV(The total daily value($) of traffic that a #1 ranked website for this Keyword could potentially receive.

There is plenty more that Both the paid Google Ad-words will offer you,   as well as the paid versions of most other keyword  and SEO  Software Tools.

Traffic Travis

If you want to try out the free version of traffic Travis here's the Link >  Traffic Travis

Traffic Travis seems quite good, though I have heard that there are a few bugs being experienced with the full paid version.

I am currently using the free trial version and there have been a few bug issues(the software hanging---freezing up when doing keyword tasks).

Overall,  Traffic Travis has some real potential,  though,  the owners need to do more work getting the software to perform better.

Market Samurai

Here's the link>  Noble Samurai  Dojo  page.

Market Samurai is a fantastic SEO Keyword Research Tool.  It has everything you would need that will take you from your initial keyword research,  right through the process of finding products to promote,  and how to decide on Domains that match your keyword and product choices.

I have the paid version of Market Samurai(I received a special discount)  it is a great piece of software.  At first I was struggling to understand how to get the most out of the tools available.
Within a few days,  I finally began to see how you can really do some great things with Market Samurai.

Just go slowly at first,  making sure you get a good understanding of how the many Market Samurai tools work.  Once you do this,  you will fall in love with this program.

Note:  Make sure your computer(PC) meets the Minimum System Running requirements for Market Samurai.

Windows:

2.33GHz or Faster.
1 GB of RAM or Greater.
Plus the Latest version of Adobe Air.
Minimum screen resolution:  1024 x 768
Broadband internet connection speed:  512 Kbps or greater.

Mac:

Intel core Duo 1.33 GHz
1 GB of RAM
The latest version of Adobe air.
Minimum screen resolution:  1024 x 768
Broadband internet connection speed: 512 Kbps or greater.

Market Samurai takes a little while to get used to. Once you use the tools available more often and become more familiar with them,   you will find yourself wanting to use Market Samurai every day.

Which SEO keyword Tools are you using?
